Really good feel good food. The burgers were tasty and the grilled cheese was good as well. Of course you can't forget the Utah pink sauce. I love that thanks Marv's we'll be back.

All I can is wow! The best burger I've tasted in a while After finding out that no local restaurants deliver to hotels in the area except for the pizza joints, I took the liberty of driving and getting lost in St. George UT to find Marv's Drive In. I ordered the Cajun double cheeseburger with bacon and an order of fries. They have this great thousand island dipping sauce, but I also requested a ranch dressing; both dressings taste delicious with the fresh cut fries. The wait in the drive thru is about 10-15 minutes since everything is made fresh to order but the attendant tells you this upfront when you order; it is definitely worth the wait.

I travel through St George frequently, and have eaten at this place like 3 times over the last 2 months. First time my burger and fries were pretty good.... like 3 stars. Last 2 times not so good. Maybe it depends on who's cooking... soggy burger, very greasy and overcooked rings. Yuck! And all three times, the same young lady took my order and brought me my food. Dark hair, thin, tattooed, and a total bitch. Last time I ordered there, I asked "can I get onion rings with my burger" and her response was a very sarcastic "WHAT??? uh, yeah... sure". Later she brought my food to my table, practically dropped my tray in front of me and walked away. Huh! Wow what's up your ass lady? Will never be back.

I thought it was great! I was a bit nervous to try this place but I was glad that I did! I ordered the Grilled chicken sandwich with fries and the bf ordered the double pepper jack burger with curly fries! We both really liked it and the food was hot and fresh! We would definitely go back and we both liked what we ordered so much that I doubt we would order anything else! (:

The food is actually really good at Marv's. I've eaten their 3 times now and always go back to the peppercorn burger which is really tasty. Only complaint and reason for a 4 star review is that they are pretty slow. However, sometimes that's the price you pay for fresh. I also got their version jalapeno poppers and they were pretty good as well. If you're looking for taste and reasonable value, I don't think you can go wrong here, but don't go if you're in a hurry. Ambiance was just okay, nothing spectacular, but I've also seen worse.

Great little find for us today! Order was almost perfect (added onions to a burger were we asked for them to hold them). No biggie. Only bummer....Pepsi.

The BEST burgers and shakes in town. I always get the double bacon with pepper jack cheese and an Oreo Cookie-dough shake!

Good tasty burger's Costumer service slow like a turtle, it took 30 min for our food to arrive ,I could gone to non fast food restaurant and got my order faster . The reason I gave them 3 stars only becouse they are so slow

This is my favorite place in Dixie to grab a burger. Fresh made patties, fresh cut fries, good fry sauce... what's not to love? I always get the same thing (bacon burger and fries). Love the cherry (or vanilla) syrup to put in your soda. I have heard the ice cream is great... just never have room to try it. I would rather pay a little more and wait a few minutes to come here. All the other burger places in town don't compare. :) Thanks, Marv's! I'm moving in a few weeks, and I will miss you. But every time Im in town I know where I'm eating!!

Positives: My cheeseburger was delicious. The beef, in particular, had a great flavor. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. Negatives: The restaurant needed cleaning. Our table was sticky, and there were flies buzzing around inside the place. Maybe we caught them on a bad day, but if Marv's could mop the floor more often, wipe the tables down between customers, and buy a couple of UV insect traps, it would improve the dining experience.

Amazing burgers and fries! You need to try a pepperjack cheese burger and fries!

A nice little local burger joint that provided all day sustenance for two hungry hikers. The junior burger was plenty substantial for me and tasty, too. The seasoning on the beef was fantastic and the buns were soft without being insipid. I have no idea how my skinny husband managed to eat the huge double bacon cheeseburger, but he loved every bite. The curly fries were hot and fresh, but a bit salty - the only slight miss of the meal for us. One tip - there really isn't any point in using the drive thru, unless you really love the interior of your car. They make everything to order, so this isn't super fast food.

Just ok.. Several places much better. They need to improve service and quality of food..

We were visiting and stopped by Marv's. While they have signs about everything being made to order and seemed to be proud of that, it still took forever for the food to come out. But my burger was good and the shake (which is huge) was great. A little $$ though. I'd come back though

Marvs is a pretty good burger joint that is a bit on the pricey side in my opinion. They offer great burgers fries and shakes that are all made on delicious buns that I believe are baked fresh daily at Grandma Toblers bakery across the parking lot. Everything is made from scratch upon ordering so it's all very fresh. They give you two cups of fry sauce, which is great because everyone else skimps on the stuff and you always have to ask for more. They also have a drive thru and you can order ahead of time using a printed menu by the door you can take home or to work.

Spent all day hiking in Snow Canyon State Park and wanted to refuel. This place definitely achieved that. Pros - great burgers - their famous fries were also great - curly fries also good - price wasn't terrible in our opinion, but was a tad more than we are used to. - very close to Snow Canyon Cons - this isn't actually a 'drive-in', although it does have a drive-thru - replace your ripped seats, the colored ductape looks awful - color scheme is pretty ugly - service did not come with a smile Overall, its a solid burger joint and would recommend for those on this side of St. George.

The floors need cleaned as does most of the place. The food was OK but didn't have their traditional fries.

Great burgers shakes and Fries. We had a group of 10 and everyone enjoyed there meal

    (4)
  • Frank L.

Great burger! Hand-made, fresh, & well seasoned! Onion ring bites are ok, but too crunchy; fries are whole-cut.(like In-N-Out) Overall, I recommend the burgers! A bit on the pricy side, & made to order!

    (4)
  • L B.

Great fresh made fries and burgers. It is slower because they make things fresh. We always get our food drive-through, for convenience, not for speed. There is an issue with consistency, sometimes they are great and sometimes they are good, but they are better than chain burger places.

We come up to St. George quite often for my daughter's doctor appointments. We've been to a number of burger joints in StG... I love a good burger joint - this is the best in town. I had a bacon cheeseburger with pepperjack and bacon... Oh my was it good. I also had onion rings and a strawberry shake. The onion rings were spot-on. The shake was handmade, thick, ant tasty. The food is great and the staff is amazing. We'll be back.

I tried Marv's as it is close in proximity to much of the new growth in St. George. I had a Pepperjack burger that was above average. The bun was great. My wife ordered the same burger but in the junior size. Unknown to her was that this was served on a dime a dozen bun. Don't make the same mistake! The regular fries were disturbingly un-salty. I don't love to over salt my food, but these were not good if your expectation is a traditional french fry. The curly fries were definitely a step up from Arby's. I would stick with those. Finally, the Butterfinger shake was average. I mean, it's hard to screw up a shake, but it's also hard to exceed expectations. Overall it was neither poor nor great. I would go there again for a typical American diner experience, but not to be amazed.

  • Seth F.

For food I'd give it four stars but when they send my order to another table and I watch people touch my families food, then they try to bring it over after the mistake is realized and serve it to us.... Really!?! This I will take issue w. Especially when they simply say we'll do you want some new fries or something? Actually I just want my money back and I won't be coming here once a week like I have been. I get the food mix up and would happily have waited for another order had it been offered. Disgusting this would happen. As a mom and pop type shop I expect so mI ch more. Exactly why I used to go there. Oh and then they sit and whisper about us like I'm the one out of line. I hope management reads this and talks to that crew. I ate there, or rather tried to, the same day this is posted. I'll be going to that other mom and pop shop on blvd that's better anyway.

I originally rated this place as a 4 and that rating has been nagging at me for a while. Now that we are officially St. George transplants, I've been to this place at least a couple of times per week and I can say that they consistently churn out a perfect burger. There is no better burger in St. George. The local newspaper here, The Spectrum, recently included Marv's in St. George's "10 Best" burgers. Marv's was featured at the number 4 spot. However, we have dined at all the establishments that were rated above this place and none of them can touch Marv's. Mind you, I'm only speaking of the burgers and fries. I haven't touched anything else on the menu. But the burgers are absolutely perfect. They are hand-pattied and made-to-order. The buns are homemade and all the condiments are fresh.

    (5)
  • Leslie M.

Not impressed. The burger really didn't have a lot of flavor as well as the onion rings. I personally liked the fries. And my shake was as good as anywhere. They need to get some new booths. Won't be back. Better places then this to go.

    (2)
  • Carl M.

What can I say? This place is amazing. It doesn't look like much from the outside but when you walk in you get a 1950s type of feel. I asked the young girl at the counter what was the best hamburger they had? She said The Pepper jack burger. I ordered that with some curlyQ fries. It was the most awesome pepper jack burger I've ever had in my life! Go there. Try it. Smile.
